When a teenager is found slashed to death, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) focus their attention on a fellow high school classmate (guest star Jacob Pitts) known for bullying the victim and for his interest in violent video games and brutal martial arts weapons. However, after evidence is disallowed and a fearful young witness begs off, prosecutors McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Carmichael (Angie Harmon) consider flushing the case until the enterprising McCoy tries a new gambit.
